Integral University Entrance Test (IUET - 2012) Procedure

1. GENERAL INFORMATION :

1.1 Admission to First Year :

Entrance Test for admission to first year of 5 year course of B.Arch., 4 year course of B.Tech / B.Tech. (Biotechnology) / B.Pharm., 2 Year course of M.B.A. and Lateral Entry to B.Tech./B.Pharma. and 3 year course of Diploma in Engineering will be known as known as Integral University Entrance Test (IUET-2012).

1.2 Direct Admission to Second Year of B.Tech./B.Pharm. (for Diploma Holders):

The eligible candidates seeking direct admission to Second year of B.Tech. / B.Pharm. are required to appear in the Entrance Test (IUET-2012). The candidates are required to submit the application forms to Co-ordinator, Admission Committee, IUET-2012 Integral University, Lucknow by the last date i.e. March 31st ,2012.The list of successful candidates for admission counselling to B.Tech. / B. Pharm. courses will be displayed on the Notice Board / Website of the University on May 18th , 2012.

1.3 Admission of N.R.I. Candidates

The eligible NRI candidates may get direct admission on reserved seats for which they should download the application form from the website of the University and submit the same to Co-ordinator, Admission Committee, Integral University, Lucknow, latest by 30th June 2012. Such candidates need not to appear in the Entrance Test. The admission to N.R.I. candidates will be given on first come first serve basis. The desirous candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate of the qualifying examination.

2. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION:

2.1 Candidates are advised to read instructions very carefully. The Integral University, Lucknow reserves the right to change the rules and regulations without any notice.

2.2 All the provisions given in this Prospectus shall be binding and acceptable to the students and their parents / guardians. Any change made from time to time in the rules, regulations and fees of the University shall mutatis mutandis apply to the admitted candidates.

2.3 The application form, complete in all respects, should reach the Coordinator, Admission Committee IUET-2012. Integral University, Lucknow. The Integral University, Lucknow will not be responsible for any delay either on the part of the post or for any reason whatsoever..

2.4 Besides 50% reservation for muslim minorities, 20% of the total seats in each course are reserved for girl candidates and 3% seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates. Candidates seeking advantage of reserved categories, weightage etc. are required to enclose relevant supporting certificates with the application form. These certificates in original will have to be produced at the time of admission along with one attested copy of each one of them.

2.5 Candidates who are due to appear in the qualifying examination or have appeared, but their results are awaited, are also eligible to appear. Candidates in respect of whom the result of the qualifying examination has not been declared by the last date of admission in Integral University due to any reason whatsoever (incomplete or withheld result or supplementary examination ect.), shall not be eligible for admission under any circumstances. However, the eligibility for admission shall remain forfeited if the candidate is unable to produce the original marks sheet of the qualifying examination within a week’s time after declaration of the result of their respective Boards / Universities.

2.6 DO NOT FOLD OMR APPLICATION FORM. One envelope should contain only one OMR application form.

3. ENTRANCE TEST SCHEME:

IUET – 2012 will be conducted with objective type questions, The candidates are required to opt papers and subjects for appearing in the Entrance Test as mentioned in the table given at sl. No. 4 and 5 on the following page.

7. RESERVATION :

50% seats are reserved for Muslim minority and 50% are open; reservation for girls, physically handicapped and NRI are also available in each category.

8. CITY OF EXAMINATION :

The IUET-2012 will be held at Lucknow. Additional Examination centres may be established in a region, if sufficient number of candidates apply from the same.

9. MEDICAL STANDARDS :

The candidates should have good general physique with following minimum requirements of physical fitness:

Height	Not less than 1.5 meter for male candidate and not less than 1.4 meters for female candidates.
Weight	Not less than 41 Kg. for male candidate and not less than 37 Kg. for female candidates.
Chest measurement	Not less than 69 cm. with satisfactory limits of expansion and contraction (applicable to male candidates only)
Heart and Lungs	No abnormality
Hernia, Hydrocele, Piles etc.	Presence of any of these is a temporary disqualification and is to be corrected before joining
Vision	Normal. If defective, it must be got corrected to 6/9 in the better eye and 6/12 in the worse one. Eyes should be free from congenital or any other disease.
Hearing	Normal. If defective, it must be got corrected before joining.

Integral University which is well known for its Higher Education and is located at Kursi Road is source of pride and pleasure, not only for me but all those who are well wishers of our Society and Nation.

The Foundation stone of this University was laid in the year 1993 by our country's great educator, leader, philosopher of Islam, Hazrat Maulana Syed Abul Hasan Ali Hasani Nadvi (R.A.) and in a short duration it established its educational credentials among the best universities. Today this outstanding University is undoubtedly an enviable asset of the country. By according the status of minority institution, the government has paid duehas encouraged youth regard to Muslim community andirrespective of their religious affiliations to pursue quality education.

Recently the University has taken another major step forward by deciding to establish a Medical college for which sanction from the State Government has already been accorded and Insha Allah the approval of the Central Government shall also be granted soon. The fully functional hospital established on campus is already a big success. The remaining educational requirements for the Medical College are being consistently pursued.

I am very happy that by coming July, 2012 the Medical College shall be inaugurated and it will instill confidence and ensure a bright future for youth of the nation irrespective of caste and creed and also pave a way for the yputh of Minority community to pursue quality Medical Education.

A civilized society is one that is built upon the foundations of scientific thinking and social welfare. Both of which at times are considered to be mutually exclusive, but are indeed interdependent.

Science is a study based on concrete facts and principles which lead to the absolute. Society on the other hand is based on relationships and affections which are considered to be unpredictable. A balance of both is desirable for a civilization to sustain and prosper.

Underlying principle for both the extremes is the ability to learn, implement, relearn and unlearn, and in order to facilitate this process we have education systems.
